Initial objectives of how and why we wanted to run D.I.Y clothes making workshops:

One of the outcomes of increase of mass consumption in the fashion industry, is the fact that there's a lot more garments in landfills. These garments end up in landfills for several reasons, such as; they wear out more faster, people are not satisfied with quality and neither style of garments. People end up buying more clothes because they are cheaper, and also to keep up with 'fast fashions' latest trends. Not only is the environment being effected by cheap fast fashion, but peoples additive consumption habits are increasing their anxieties. In workshops we want to focus on making simple garments that are: well made and will last long.
